I have always liked apples, and autumn is the time for the best ones. McIntosh is my all time favorite, but a few years back Gala and Fuji varieties began appearing in stores, and they are really good, too. More recently I've seen Pink Lady, Cameo, and Jazz apples and have given each a try, but, while they were good, they were not exceptional. Last week I came across a new type, Honey Crisp. They are REALLY good, and even though they are expensive, I plan to get more!
